Grant addresses (required)
Grant addresses define the project.
County addresses (non-grant passings)
No county data — only grant addresses counted.
Frontage reach (ft)
Existing outside plant (takeoff)
No existing plant loaded — all plant is new build.
Roads within tolerance of the drawn lines become takeoff points — new build starts (and is costed) from there. Upstream allowance pre-charges each takeoff against the max-reach budget for fiber already used getting there. Existing plant is session-only; reload it after a refresh.
Road data
Roads, county addresses, utility sets, and existing plant now persist on this device between sessions. Use refetch if OSM has changed in the area.
PON
Spacing sets baseline CO density; reach is the hard cable-footage cap (≈GPON max). Extra COs are auto-added wherever a home's run would exceed it. Set reach to 0 to disable.
Cable sizing
Crossing weights routing only
Route waypoints steer paths · pin tool on map
When set, total cost = mainline miles × this rate only — a simplified ROM. Drops, electronics, contingency and all BEAD detail are bypassed and a warning shows on the dashboard.
ROM model — BEAD-calibrated
Passings, mainline footage, cabinets, and drop footage come from the map. % underground auto-derives when utility data is loaded. All other quantities (poles, vaults, MSTs, splice cases, permits…) derive from calibrated ratios below.

Funding
Award amount $
Target $/passing go/no-go
Lump award. Cost / passing (grant & blended) drives go / no-go and shows on the dashboard.
Drop construction, materials, CPE, and activation are costed by the ROM model (Costs tab) from measured drop footage. Full drop statistics and the length histogram are on the dashboard.
Utility / overhead data
No utility data — % underground is manual.
Road→nearest-overhead distance. Set the buffer to cover the bulk of the bars.

Grant addresses required
These define the homes the project will design fiber to.
County addresses optional
Adds non-grant homes-passed counts. You can also add this later from Settings ▸ Data.
